Summary Florence Nightingale

Florence nightingale was born in florence, Italy on 12 may 1820. she lived in a rich family. Her father thought that she would go in school so he taught florence and her sister at home. They learn three different language history and math. when florence grows up she wanted to help sick people. She liked to visit sick people in her neighbourhood. Florence wanted to be a nurse but her father wanted her to get married. Her father thought that nurses was usually working class women.

Florence went to Germany to study nurse. When you were a nurse at this time you didn't learn by training you learn by experience.

In 1854, brittan enter the crimean war. Florence went to crimean to help sick soldiers Florence made the  hospitals clean and safe. The number of death in hospitals went down from 40% to 2%. Florence was nice to the soldiers she gave them hope. Florence walked around with a lamp in her hand in the hospital and that were she got her nick name "The lady with the lamp" Florence wrote also a book about how they gonna do the hospitals better. She was sought from all over the world about the hospitals. Florence  opened a school about how to be a nurse.

Florence died on August 13 she become 90 years old.
